Enrico Bani (Pisa, 1996) studied Art Graphics at the Accademy of Fine Arts in Carrara, where he earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. He enriched his studies with an Erasmus experience at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.

Through art, graphics and its experimental techniques, the artist explores a path in the contemporary field, placing at the center of his research and experimentation the writing and its primal component: the letter.

The letter, already of an abstract matrix, deconstructs itself into signs completely external to conventional graphemes, it frees itself and manifests itself as an illustrative and material sign in space, acquiring new forms and meanings.

Everything comes from experiences born from the urban context, in which the metropolitan environment is the protagonist of investigation, becoming more intimate and linked to the expressive languages that it offers.

The city, with its stratifications, its walls, its modules, is a space of inquiry and reality of phenomenons, a place of fundamental experiences for the artist’s research.

The journey through the metropolis, with its cultural influences, constitutes the genesis for the second part of his artistic expression, manifesting itself in more modern conceptual marks and forms.
