Firenze Anima Giovane

The wall intervention realized on the front of the Institute “Leonardo da Vinci” near the railway station of Florence Rifredi, was born from three projects created by the artist Mr. Fijodor at the end of four engaging workshops with young participants of Firenze Anima Giovane. The theme of the mural is a pictorial representation of the various elements addressed in the workshops, such as skating, music, lettering and the creation of digital content.
The main objective of the initiative was to act as a mediator between artists and young citizens, promoting personal and civil growth through art as a form of lifelong education.
The students had the opportunity to choose the project that most inspired and represented them. The inspiration for this work also derives from the attention aroused by the film Oppenheimer, which investigates the studies on atomic power.
The artist used the archetype of the explosion, represented by the characteristic atomic mushroom, to develop the ambivalent concept of energy power and the explosive creativity of young people.
Since the mural is located on the facade of a school, Mr. Fijodor has integrated elements that are significant for students. These symbols include cameras, pencils, pens and books. Moreover, the symbol of the train has been included, in consideration of the proximity of the railway station of Florence Rifredi. Last but not least, there is the iconic sandwich, a symbol that represents the insatiable appetite of teenagers leaving school, a universal feature of this age.
This mural celebrates youth, creativity and the learning process, as well as the link between past and future, reflecting the energy and vitality of young people.
