Paste Up Value
May 27, 2017 – May 28, 2017
Paste-up or poster art is a technique from the world of street art, in which an artist paints an image on paper in his studio, which he later pastes on the walls of the city. An exhibition of this kind was primarily the result of the artist’s desire to make the viewers of his art aware of the entire process behind the works on the street, which are often considered acts of vandalism and are therefore superficially covered with a few layers of paint.
Paste Up Value was Exit Enter’s first exhibition on the Florentine territory. The exhibition, presented on the weekend May 27-28, 2017, depicted the entire creative process of the Tuscan street artist, starting from the sketch to the work pasted on the wall.
Photos, unfinished works, videos of the action on the street and original posters tell the story of the creative path of Exit Enter in this exhibition, opening for the first time a more intimate view of the artist’s work. At the end of the event, the artist continued posting the exhibited works in the streets of Florence, some of which can still be seen today.
