The Human Kind

The Human Kind

12 December 2023

The mural The Human Kind was born from the collaboration between Four Seasons Hotel and the City of Florence, with the aim of designing a project for the headquarters of the AGESCI Scouts on the theme of kindness, required for the celebration of the International Day of Kindness. The theme was further developed by the artist Ache77 in collaboration with the Scouts of Via Massa in Florence.
The elements identified to structure the narrative reflect the modus operandi of the scout group: empathy, compassion, help. Based on these principles, the artist developed the visual narrative of the work, dedicating a facade to each concept.

The front is dedicated to compassion, portraying the eyes of an unaccompanied minor taken into foster care by the scouts. This choice goes beyond conceptualization, representing an authentic act of compassion.

The “wall of empathy” represents two characters who look at each other and mirror themselves, symbolizing self-awareness and understanding of the other.

The third wall, dedicated to assistance, represents the bond between human and nature. In contrast to the anthropocentric vision, in which man acts in support of the natural world, in this work it is nature itself that remind us of our true essence and goodness. The choice of natural elements is not accidental: the magpie and the olive branch (symbol of peace) are taken from the frescoes in the Royal Suite of the Four Seasons Hotel.
